Our founders

Little Phoenix is a project of two non-profit organizations located in Victoria Social Innovation Centre (VSIC): Family Services of Greater Victoria (FSGV), an agency that provides professional counselling services, support programs and legal information, and Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society (VIRCS), a settlement agency that assists newcomers to Canada adjust to their new lives in Victoria.

Our partnership

​Little Phoenix is formally partnered with the School of Child and Youth Care at the University of Victoria (UVic) and serves as a location for longitudinal research. Little Phoenix is also an official practicum site for those studying in the field of Child and Youth Care at UVic.

Our mission

Our goal is to deliver an innovative child care program that is responsive to the needs of all children and families. We aim to provide a safe emotional space and a culture of inclusivity and belonging for the young children at Little Phoenix and their family support systems.
